Q&A
"To meet everyone in real life that I’ve raced in the virtual world. And of course, to attend the F1 race was awesome!"
Q: Who is your favourite F1 Driver ever?
A: Robert Kubica. He always had that special glow inside of him and he was able to get the most out of the car and he was for sure very respectful. It is a shame that he was seriously injured in 2011, I hope he will return for a full season in F1 as a hero.
Q: Which was your favourite year in F1 and why?
A: This has to be the year 2012 when the field was very competitive. Here I was cheering on Fernando Alonso as he fought against the dominating Red Bull´s Sebastian Vettel. The first seven races of the championship were won by seven different drivers and this made it so unbelievably exciting!
Q: What type of driving style do you think you have??
A: Strategic & respectful.
Q: When did you first start racing online?
A:In the fall last year (2017) in Apex Online Racing in Tier 2.
Q: How did you find the lever of the competition in the F1 Esports Series 2018 Online Qualifiers?
A: It was incredible competitive! That it was so close between us all gave me an extra determination-boost to do better. I enjoyed it!
Q: What is your favourite track on F1 2017?
A: I really like Suzuka. Especially thru turn 13 and 14 at Spoon, which always challenge you as a driver. To enter the corner at high speed and at the same time get the car perfectly rotated at the exit of turn 14 as you have to carry a great amount of speed out of the long straight can be tricky.
Q: Which driving conditions do you prefer, wet or dry?
A: I prefer wet. This really challenges everyone not to make any mistakes.
Q: Who is your toughest online opponent?
A: As I am rather new to the online community I don’t have any specific rivals or opponents yet but guys like Salih Saltunc and Cedric Thomé are extremely skilled. I believe Nathan Moore is my closest rival as we both started in the same race in AOR F2 last season. We did not know each other then but now we are good friends and we have both made it all the way to the Pro Draft.
Q: If you had one favourite moment from the Silverstone trip, what was it?
A: To meet everyone in real life that I’ve raced in the virtual world. And of course, to attend the F1 race was awesome!
Q: Have you ever been to an F1 race weekend before?
A: Yes, Monza 2008 with my dad who at this time worked at BMW-Sauber.
