Four Day Marathon Stream on F1 2019 to Raise Support for NHS Fund

June 11, 2020

You might not know Simon Metin by name, but he’s putting on one heck of a performance this week. In the lead up to Sunday’s Virtual Canadian Grand Prix, this British F1 fan is streaming four back-to-back 12-hour sessions on F1 2019 – to show just how intense the workload is for an NHS worker.

With the COVID-19 situation putting huge strain on global healthcare systems, his aim is to raise awareness – and funds – for the United Kingdom’s National Health Service, and their Charities Together fund. He’s streaming from 10AM to 10PM, four days in a row, mimicking the relentless shifts that NHS workers undertake. You can view the JustGiving page and make a contribution here.

Metin was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa in 2008, and spent a long time recovering in hospital. It was during this time that he developed a passion for Formula 1 and felt a strong connection with Lewis Hamilton’s determination to win the title that year. Inspired by the selfless healthcare workers that put him on the road to recovery, he’s now putting his passion to good use, and aiming to give something back.

We wish him the best of luck – tune into Simon’s streams here!
